DAY-56, HASSI MESSAOUD, ALGERIA 09TH AUG' 09 20.46 HRS

MIND AND ITS STRANGENESS

The five element of universe influence our mind and its actions.

I don’t know if you have noticed it, but mind behaves in oxymoron. I am simply a moron deprived of oxygen. Rein of mind required to be trained otherwise mind is easily overwhelmed by greed, ill will, ignorance, conceit, jealousy, envy, worry, restlessness, and sceptical doubt. These are the driving forces behind conflicts. Once the mind associated with them, it becomes wild, violent and deluded. Then the mind behaves as a monkey who cannot stay quietly and still even for a moment. It is always wandering and flickering and hard to control. On seeing desirable things, greedy mind arises; when it grows stronger, we try to get attractive objects by legal or illegal means. When encountering unpleasant objects such as enemies, anger arises; when the emotion gets stronger, we act violently. All these problems are the results of the perplexed mind. It require perfect concentration by the practice of awareness. If your mind is unstable your breath will be unstable, its directly related to our state of our mind which directly govern each action of our body.

I remember following lines by OSHO~

"I am feeling thirsty and I am looking for water." But as time goes on, and there is no sign of any oasis -- and as far as the eyes can see, there is no possibility of finding water -- the thirst goes on spreading all over the body.

From the mind, from just a word, `thirst', it starts spreading to every cell and fiber of the body. Now it is no longer a word, it is an actual experience. Your every cell -- and there are seven million cells in the body -- is thirsty. Those cells don't know words, they don't know language, but they know that they need water; otherwise life is going to be finished.

It comes ... it certainly comes. It has never delayed for a single moment. Once you are in the right tuning, it suddenly explodes in you, transforms you. The old man is dead and the new man has arrived.

With best regards,

MANOJ KUMAR OJHA
