Today I want to discuss on such a subject which need to be addressed ~ ADDICTION.. it is used in context of many things which describes obsession, compulsion, or excessive psychological dependence but generally one relate it to drug or alcohol addiction.
But when one see in broader aspect then one can recognize and term some other habits too as addiction viz gambling, crime, over eating, sex, love, work addict, money earning, shopping addiction, net surfing, blogging etc.
Psychoactive substances- Alcohol, Drugs or Tobacco when taken it temporarily alter the chemical milieu of the brain and the person feel a kick. Similar kind of kick one experience when one practice the above mentioned and sudden withdrawal from the above activities even lead to mental disorder which scientist term as impulse control disorders and not addiction.
The best and quick remedy to refrain from addiction is avoid the objects that create distraction.
For example, an alcoholic should refrain from alcohol during the period of treatment. They should control even the extreme desire to take alcohol.
They should not go to the places like bars where there are high chances of getting distracted. They must take care of those with whom they spend most of their time. They should completely avoid friends who asks them to take alcohol.
The same situation can be in the case of affair and for the effective solution of it, they should remain in an environment where they cannot feel distracted.
Anyone of you having other view on the above is most welcome.
And at last the eloquent speech of President Obama addressed in Cairo University has become historical.It was well calculated and controlled speech in order to bridge the gap between US and Arab world.
In first week of July'09 Govt of India will bring the Annual Railway & Union Budget.
