DAY-29 : HASSI MESSAOUD, ALGERIA 27TH JUNE'09 23.51 HRS

INDIAN TOURISM

When we see around the middle east and particularly Dubai we have to learn some lesson from the Visionary full proof plan by the ruler of Dubai. How he took pain to convert a desert into a leisure and luxury land and a tourist attraction. India the vast country we all know even though not able to garner more tourists as per its size geographically. Actually we lack the political will to promote the tourism in India otherwise Plethora of tourist interest places are there in each and every state of India. I think each and every state has to take their own initiative to make their state tourist conducive, develop infrastructure, good transportation system, proper security and information channels.

India is very rich in its culture, India's history goes back at least five thousand years, making it one of the oldest cultures of the world. its chequered fortunes are reflected in the infinite variety of its monuments- forts, palaces, temples and mausoleum.

Its variations in topography and climate make the hundreds of interesting destinations: the scenic hill stations, the old deserts of ladakh, the green valleys of Himachal ,the rain forests of the the North East, the desert regions of Rajasthan, the extensive sun-drenched beaches, the wild sanctuaries......

The Indian tradition of hospitality together with the variety of destinations and a well developed tourist infrastructure make India an ideal venture for holidays, business meetings, Medical tourism and conventions.

It require a focused attention to develop this nation as a tourist friendly then that day is not far away when INDIA will be on the top of tourist map.

With lots of love and regards,
